2. Services Description

RJ Roofing Bros is a family-owned roofing company established in 2017, providing professional roofing services throughout the Fraser Valley, British Columbia. Our services include but are not limited to:

• Asphalt shingle re-roofing and new installations
• Standing seam metal roofing
• Emergency storm damage repair
• New construction roofing
• Professional roof inspections
• Roof maintenance and preventative care
• Custom metal flashing fabrication (Get Bent Flashings)
• Strata and multi-unit residential roofing

All services are performed by trained professionals in accordance with BC Building Code requirements, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices.

3. Estimates and Quotes

RJ Roofing Bros offers free, no-obligation estimates for all roofing projects. Please note the following regarding our estimates:

• All estimates are provided free of charge and carry no obligation to proceed
• Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated
• An estimate does not constitute a binding contract until a written agreement has been signed by both parties
• Final pricing may vary from the initial estimate if unforeseen conditions are discovered during the project (e.g., hidden rot, structural damage, or additional layers of existing roofing)
• Any changes to the original scope of work will be discussed with the homeowner and approved in writing before additional work is performed
• Material prices are subject to supplier availability and market conditions at the time of project commencement

4. Payment Terms

Payment terms are outlined in each individual contract. Our standard payment structure is as follows:

• Deposit: A deposit may be required upon signing the contract to secure your project date and order materials
• Progress Payments: For larger projects, progress payments may be scheduled at agreed-upon milestones
• Final Payment: The remaining balance is due upon satisfactory completion of the project and final walkthrough
• Accepted Methods: We accept e-Transfer, cheque, and other methods as agreed upon in the contract
• Late Payments: Accounts not settled within the agreed timeframe may be subject to additional fees as outlined in the signed contract

Emergency repair services may require payment upon completion. Priority repair deposits are non-refundable but are applied in full toward the cost of the repair.

5. Warranty Information

RJ Roofing Bros stands behind the quality of our work. Our warranty coverage includes:

• Workmanship Guarantee: We provide a workmanship warranty on all installations, covering defects in application and installation. The specific duration and terms are detailed in your individual contract.
• Manufacturer Warranties: All roofing materials carry manufacturer warranties. Warranty duration and coverage vary by product and manufacturer (e.g., IKO, CertainTeed, BP). We install according to manufacturer specifications to ensure full warranty eligibility.
• Warranty Claims: In the event of a warranty issue, contact us directly. We will assess the situation and coordinate with the manufacturer if necessary.
• Warranty Exclusions: Warranties do not cover damage caused by acts of nature (storms, falling trees, hail beyond rated impact resistance), unauthorized modifications or repairs by third parties, failure to perform recommended maintenance, or normal wear and tear.

Detailed warranty terms are provided with each completed project. We recommend keeping all warranty documentation in a safe place for future reference.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of British Columbia and Canada:

• RJ Roofing Bros shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to our services or this agreement
• Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific project in question
• We are not responsible for pre-existing structural conditions that are not visible or reasonably discoverable during our initial inspection
• We are not liable for delays or failures in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, supply chain disruptions, or government restrictions
• Information provided on our website, including the Knowledge Hub, blog, and other educational content, is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice for your specific situation

7. Insurance and Licensing

RJ Roofing Bros maintains comprehensive insurance and licensing to protect our clients and employees:

• WorkSafeBC Coverage: We are fully registered with WorkSafeBC, ensuring all workers on your property are covered by workers' compensation insurance
• Commercial General Liability: We carry $5,000,000 (five million dollars) in commercial general liability insurance, protecting homeowners against accidental property damage or injury during our work
• BBB A+ Rating: We are accredited by the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating, reflecting our commitment to ethical business practices and customer satisfaction
• Licensed Operation: We operate as a licensed business in the Province of British Columbia in full compliance with all applicable municipal, provincial, and federal regulations

Proof of insurance and WorkSafeBC clearance letters are available upon request prior to the commencement of any project.

• Abbotsford - Including Clearbrook and Matsqui
• Mission - Including surrounding rural areas
• Agassiz - Including the District of Kent
• Harrison Hot Springs - Including Harrison Mills
• Rosedale - Including surrounding areas
• Yale - Including surrounding areas along the Fraser Canyon

Service availability outside of these areas may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us to discuss your project if you are located outside our standard service area.

9. Scheduling and Project Timeline

We strive to complete all projects on time and within the estimated timeline. However, please note:

• Project start dates and completion estimates are provided in good faith but may be affected by weather conditions, material availability, or discovery of unforeseen conditions
• We will communicate any anticipated delays promptly and work with you to minimize inconvenience
• The Fraser Valley climate can impact roofing schedules; certain installations require specific weather conditions for proper material adhesion and curing
• Emergency repair requests are prioritized based on severity and safety risk

10. Property Access and Preparation

To perform our services safely and efficiently, we require:

• Clear access to the work area, including driveway access for material delivery and waste removal
• Homeowners to remove or protect personal property in the immediate vicinity of the work area, including vehicles, patio furniture, and landscaping items
• Notification of any underground sprinkler systems, septic tanks, or other hazards near the home's perimeter
• We take every precaution to protect your property but some disruption (e.g., vibration, noise, minor landscaping disturbance) is inherent to roofing work

11. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our website and services, you consent to the practices described in that policy. We comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable British Columbia privacy legislation.
